Developed for the California market, Monster Round Catalytic Black slip-on mufflers are listed by the California Air Resources Board as an exempt aftermarket part under the Executive Order No. K-006-1. Under the grant of this EO, these slip-ons are permitted for sale and use with Vance & Hines Power Duals Black or Dresser Duals Black head pipes on all two-wheeled Harley-Davidson Touring models, including CVO models from 2007 through 2013.Monster Round Catalytic Black slip-ons house two three-way catalytic converters and have been tested with Vance & Hines Power Duals Black or Dresser Duals Black to demonstrate that they meet emissions standards applicable in California.The real benefit of combining Vance & Hines Power Duals Black or Dresser Duals Black with the new Monster Round Catalytic Black slip-ons lies in the movement of the catalytic converter from the front half of the exhaust (as it is in the original equipment exhaust) to the back half of the exhaust, which yields a significant reduction in heat felt by the rider.Monster Round Catalytic Black slip-ons make just as much power as standard Monster Round slip-ons, along with the same deep and mellow tone riders have come to love.
