Universal Lug Nut (CLUG21) by ITP?. Tapered. Finish: Chrome. Quantity: 1 Piece. Thread Size: 3/8"-24. Drive Size: 14 mm. Finish: Chrome. Proper installation requires that the wheel lug nuts be torqued to the factory recommended specification, found in your vehicle's owner's manual. Manually tighten the lug nuts using a crisscross sequence (shown right) until they have reached their proper torque value. Over-torquing a wheel you can strip a lug nut, stretch or break a wheel stud, and/or cause damage to the hub or brake rotor. When installing new wheels, re-torque them after the first 50 to 100 miles, as the wheels may compress slightly allowing the lug nuts to lose some of their torque. The thickness of an aftermarket wheel can differ from the OEM wheel; therefore, you must verify that enough threads will be engaged by the lug nuts or lug bolts. Refer to the chart below to determine the minimum number of turns or the depth of engagement typical for your stud size.
