Frequently Asked Questions

  • This has a steel wear bar at bottom, not a poly wear bar. (The face of the blade is poly.)

FLEX BLADE: Flex 50 is the lightest of all because it's a light weight light duty blade, more like a shovel.

  • Yes, there are pins you can use to remove it, on the tube system.
BLADE SIZES: We have 48, 54, 60, 66, 72 steel, and 60, 66, 72 poly, as well as a special poly light weight flex blade 50". ATV's are generally 60" and under, and UTV's are generally 66" or 72". We recommend measuring outside to outside tire, and going a bit more on either side. NOTE: You will lose approx 10% when blade is fully rotated. For example, with a 55" machine, you would need to go with a 66" size blade at least bc 66 - 10% = 60" and you need a few inches on either side.

  • No, not unless KFI specifies it on their site. The winch is sufficient to lift the blade, unless otherwise specified. Even when KFI specifies the pulley, it is only a recommendation, not required. You can purchase a pulley if you would like, but it is not necessary. The pulley needs a strap to hook back to the bumper. For the pulley, part 105270 would go on the push tubes for a steel winch, while part 106270 would go on the push tubes for a synthetic winch.

POLY BLADE: Poly does have added benefits, like it won't dent and snow and ice won't stick to it, though it is heavier and more expensive. The regular pro poly blades are all heavier then the steel. They come in 60", 66", and 72". The height is 27", including the flap.

  • Manual lift or with the winch.
UTV WINCH: KFi recommends 4500 lbs winch for a utv.

  • With the winch. *The manual lift does not hook up to utv push tubes.

WINCH KITS REMOTES: 2000, 2500 lb come with handlebar rocker switch. 3000, 3500 lb come with a handlebar rocker switch and corded remote. 4500 and 5000 lb come with Rocker dash switch and corded remote. You can buy wireless remote separately, which we sell.
